And what do you do are exercising? I have tried camisoles and they are OK for every day, but when I'm walking or running, I really need a bra. I am just not comfortable flopping around. I wore just a tee for a couple of weeks (since the surgery). I have been happy the last week or so that the incision has healed sufficiently that I can wear bras again. Thank goodness it has healed just in time for warm weather.

I was kind of dreading that I'd still not be able to wear a bra once the warm weather returned. Wearing a jacket over a tee to go out was fine in cool weather -- but now that we're in the 70's and 80's -- whew. In those temps a choice between a jacket and B's (even if they are not all that B) loose and flopping for all to see, was not a choice I wanted to make.

I was kinda of hoping that while I was in surgery they could do the AVR & the b reduction...

I guess that's wishful thinking. All kidding aside I hope you find a solution... Sometimes it is the small things that really wear on you.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I will try them all until I find one that works. I can relate to what was said abut stuffing. I have an older sister with the same problem I have. When I was in 5th grade I used to steal her bras, stuff them with socks and wear them to school . I was the only 11 year old with "D" size ****s. I guess my punishment for "stealing the bras" is that I now wear a size "G" and have 30 lbs hanging off my chest. I am kinda like Dolly in that if I need to show the Doctor, I have to pull up my skirt!! Gravity has not been kind.

Again, thank you to all of you, who took the time to reply.

Carla

Just a thought...

Just a thought...

Maybe Dolly Parton could help on this issue...she has managed her assets pretty well over the years...

A friend of mine maintains that he has been so unlucky in life that if Dolly had triplets, he'd be the one in the middle....lol

Now...I can't help but notice that the only male contributors to this thread so far are from CO......is that a '****' state?

Cheers,

:D :D SOLUTION
I finally found a solution to the problem! Sheepskin pads like they use for bed sores. I cut a strip about 4 inches long and it really does the trick . I am so happy, you just can't imagine!

thanks

Thanks Nancy!

It gave me my first laugh of the day when I noticed that the company that offers the "sternotomy bra" is called "Aztec Heart." The Aztecs, as everybody will, I am sure, remember, were pioneers in heart surgery. Well, sort of. ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

Makes you wonder who chooses these company names, doesn't it? They must sit around at a party after a couple of "pops" and think up something that seems clever at the time.

I like Carla's solution much better. Sounds much more comfortable. I'm pretty darned sure that a male designed the Aztec contraption. My first thought was who could twist around like the model shows to attach the Velcro straps, right after heart surgery?

Billy... ?! Are you trying to get me in trouble? :D :D

You wanna know about ?my mountains? here in Colorado? Ann?s right... I?m VERY proud of them... even the ones that require retaining walls to keep them in place. :p Unfortunately.... like every state... we also have a few real ?****s?. We try to keep them under wraps!! :D

Carla.... glad to hear you found a solution to you BB problem. :)

Hi Carla,
I stopped at the Vanity fair outlet on my way home from Cleveland Cllinic to pick up a sleep bra. They were great I don't know if they still make them this was 5/99 But I used them for this last surgery. Being cursed with the BB myself believe me I know this is no fun with or with out surgery. I have two daughter and the oldest has the same problem.
