Did Pat stop by and say why such a long incision? I think he likes to look at the abdominal aorta as well when it comes to thoracic aortic patents. Probably not a bad thing, but sure isnt' pretty.

Now that you mentioned it- I thought that 23 inches would take the incision below my "bikini line" and he would have been heading into the region that would also qualify him as a urologist. So I measured it myself with my well worn, dirty, Stanley tape measure that has never let me down. My incision is only ten inches long- not 23. I must have misunderstood her (although the Vicodin was truly flying that day)!

Mine is almost exactly like yours. It stops about 2 inches from the belly button.
