Surgery Scheduled and going for the mechanical valve

I think you choose the surgeon, and you let them decide how to do it. I would not be comfortable picking the way the procedure is done....I'd want them to do it the way they thought was best. I ended up getting open heart in one of the "centers" for this in LA (aorta graft with BAV). I suppose I could have shopped for a robotic procedure but the safety of the robotic operations has not been proven in my opinion.
