Strange aches and pains

I have tried cholesterol meds and cannot take them , the muscle ache and pain side effects. My guess is I was on these for 3 to 4 years around a decade ago. About 6 years ago my tendon snapped in my right shoulder, I was not really doing anything strenuious at the time. I have what is called popeye arm , thought that was strange and felt statins had something to do with it, the doctors disagreed.
Last time I tried a new statin was shortly after OHS, I gave it up in a months time because of pains, it was only about 10mg too.

Carol, what is PAD and I'm very interested in what you and your neurologist come up with. Please do tell me how this works out for you.

I discontinued use of simvastatin (generic for Zocor) because of pretty bad muscle pain, especially in my legs and shoulders. I've been off it for about 3 weeks now and while the pain is not totally gone yet, it is much better. I'm just hoping that my cholesterol number stay good and my cardio doesn't want me back on it.

If your pain goes away, I would not go back on them. Pain from statins in my opinion "something no good is going on".
