Oh Hooray for Sheila! How nice and quick! Five hours for two valves sounds great...and LESS scar tissue than expected??? That's terrific! Seems like that would bode well for recovery and longevity of the replacement too! What good news! Keep it coming please...:D

What great news! It makes me feel better about mt own double valve surgery scheduled for the 1st of Nov. I wish Sheila a speedy recovery and thnks for the news! Marcie

Hello All,

Just heard from Sheila's husband (Wed.). She is in her room, sitting up and doing her breathing exercises. The pacer wires are out. The doctors are very positive and well pleased with how things went. Mark said she was told she would be in a minimum of eight days.

More later.

I'm glad to hear things are going well. Thanks for passing along the good news.

Hello,

Just wanted to let everyone know that Sheila went home on Sunday. She is feeling pretty rough. She is in a lot of pain and very swollen. She said to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. She said she could already tell that she was stronger (heart wise) and sounded excited about the future with her new valves.

She does not feel up to posting so she asked me to let ya'll know that she was home and ok.

Wonder what kind of PAIN she is experiencing???

MUSCLE PAIN is best relieved by MASSAGE.

I would think her surgeon and/or cardiologist would want her pain to be controlled so that she would feel up to doing what needs to be done, i.e., BREATHING exercises, WALKING, and SLEEPING in order to facilitate her recovery.

WHO is following her and are they aware of her condition?

Anyone heard about Sheila lately? She should be home now.

Cooker - have you heard anything?

Sheila - hope you continue to improve. Make sure that the appropriate docs are taking the best care of you!!!
continued prayers!!

Thanks for the PM cooker, I didn't have the recent posts on my computer when I asked earlier. Tell her we are all thinking of her and I hope things will continue to improve!

I'm thrilled that Sheila is doing well. I am about to undergo the same double valve replacement that she has just had, so I've been watching her recovery with interest. How swollen didshe get and is that all over? I'm praying for her. Marcie
