Sorry to say, I don't think anyone here is qualified to read the strips. I guess we'll see if we have anyone on board that can.

Once upon a time when I was going to school to become a nurse, I could kind of read EKGs, but really can't comment in detail on yours. What does your doctor say? What I can tell you, and you may already know this, is the comments "possible inferior infarct" means you may, or may not have, had an MI (heart attack) that affected the inferior wall of the heart. Looks like there are some rhythm disturbances, which I don't know if you're aware of or not. I'd be curious to hear what your doctor says.

The doctor is aware of my a continuos sporadic chest pains and the cause is yet to be determined. Doc said not to worry, however, with 2 late grandfathers (1 stroke, 1 heart attack), 2 grandmothers (1 heart attack, 1 coronary artery disease) a father still living (heart attack) and mom (hypertension meds) I decided it would not hurt to get additional insight.

Welcome to VR, H. I took mine to my family Doctor who reviewed them for me. In fact, I've had all of the records from the Cardiologist and Surgeon sent to her. We've worked together for a decade and I trust her judgment. I think this has proved to be a useful strategy, otherwise, there is no one looking at everything. Neither the Cardiologist or the Surgeon know my medical history as well as she does. It helps to have an advocate who is in your corner.

Ok, so you have chest pain. Have you had a heart attack? It's possible you might have had one and not known it? Have you had a cardiac catheterization? I'm confused now. Do you have valve stuff going on, too? I think Larry's advice is excellent.

It is nearly impossible to read a strip well online, the quality is just not good enough. Also, the strips are of really poor quality, there is just too much movement in them. Best thing is to have your cardiologist analyze them. The machine may print out some some suggestions, but rarely are they the true diagnosis, any little bit movement can trigger it to send a reading that may not be legitimate. By the way, I am an RN with ER and telemetry experience. The only way to know for sure is to talk to an MD that can look at them in person.

Pardon me if I wasn't clear before,

-September 2007 was the first time my heart became a concern. It was at that time I was first diagnosed with cardiomyopathy. The doctor explained that it meant my heart was squeezing 40% less than what it should have been
-June 2009 I was notified that I had a complete recovery from the cardiomyopathy
-Throughout it all, I have had a history of sudden chest pain, however the cause has not been determined
Description: Sometimes I am sitting at the computer or washing dishes and the pain suddenly occurs.
The pain is a tight squeezing pressure in my chest with tingling in my left arm and jaw
When the pain happens, I must get to a couch and get in a semi-prone position until the episode past (approx 15 min)
The doctor says it's nothing to worry about and I have no serious issues with my heart, however, the episodes of chest pain continues, and the cause has yet to be determined
No, I haven't had a heart attack
On February 2010 I had my first abnormal ECG, the doctor says many things can cause an abnormal reading
On March 31 2010 while at a different medical facility I had yet another abnormal ECG reading that was refferred back to my doctor
On April 14 1010 again, another abnormal ECG with another referral
The doctor informed me that I have had a history of abnormal ECG, therefore, I collected all of the data from past ECGs to compare the results
There have not been any abnormal ECG results until February 17 2010, March 31 2010, and April 14 2010
With a family history of heart conditions on both sides, I can't afford to chance that the chest pains mean nothing...Something is going on, you just know.. But what?
I am preparing to take the necessary measures to have a more thorough check ...I just retired one month ago and want quality of life. It may take me a little longer than others who may be more experience in this area, but I won't stop.....
