Hi everyone hope you are all well, I haven't posted in sometime but I've been reading lots (last time I posted a question Tissue V's Mechanical the post got a little heated so I've been a bit of a chicken).
I have had a few tests since last time I posted (also had my wisdom teeth out), I have had a MRI and Anigogram and been to see a new surgeon Mr Peter Skillington (who is just lovely waited 30 minutes for me being late cause I got lost even with Sat Nav!!! I was a blubbering mess when I got there but he was great), he says I am a 98% chance of the Ross Procedure, so here we go.. Surgery will be late January early February, my arteries are all good my aorta is enlarged 3.9cm at the moment I really don't know what that means but he is going to fix it while Im open, the other surgeon I saw wasn't going to do it at the same time he wanted to wait to see if it was going to be a problem in the future then he would fix it, so anyway thats where I'm at.
Hope you all had a great halloween we don't really do halloween here but it must be catching on because we had a lot of knocks at the door, just as well we were fully stocked up on lollies and choccie....

Hi Janine,

Great to hear from you!
Mr.Peter Skillington is Chris' surgeon too and he is Australia's best (IMHO) & most experienced for the Ross Procedure down under. Not only that but he's a lovely man, thoughtful, incredible bedside manner and so generous with his time.
If you have any questions or would like to chat to Chris or myself about the Ross Procedure, feel free to PM us and we'll send you our phone number.

Thinking of you during this 'waiting time'...sometimes that's the hardest part!

Cheers,
Yolanda

Thanks Yolanda, I did mention that I had been in contact with another of his patients on this site, he is a great guy I couldn't believe he waited for me when I was so late.
Im sure closer to the surgery I will be asking you or chris a few more questions.
Talk to you soon..

Janine,
Dr. Skillington sounds like a terrific surgeon and a wonderful man. You will be in good hands when you have your Ross.
Take care and please keep us updated.
