I agree with Colleen S. I haven't seen anyone on here that had the Ross more than 10 years without re-op. That being said, I think whatever decision you make will be just fine. Best case scenerio your Ross works out as advertised and you never have to have OHS again. Worst case you have to have another AVR and possibly pulmonary valve replacement. No big deal. I did it and I'm fine now. I still may need a pulmonary replacement one day but I don't worry about that now. I believe that everything always works out the way it is suppose to. There are no guarantee's no matter which way you go. Pick whichever makes you feel the most comfortable and go with it. God Bless!
