I've not streaked, but I remember being in a crowded bar years and years ago and a streaker came running bare-naked through the crowd! Too many people in the way!
 
I streaked during the streaking craze era. It was fun right up until I ran into a briar patch trying to get away from the Sheriff. :eek: :D

Did anyone figure mine out? I don't know what it says. My brother, the programmer, wrote it. He says Ross' first post is in ASCI and there's something else - maybe what Johnny was talking about. But can someone tell me what I said? :D

It's either silly or profound - he's like a professor and has been a programmer since programmers were invented.

I haven't gotten yet. It's funny how he can't fix Windows computers, but he sure knows how to mess with my head. :D

All these ones and zeroes are actually numbers, and in groups of eight, form a byte. If you take the first four bits of Ross' first post (0100 1100), for example, and convert it to decimal, you wind up with 76. If you look this up on an ASCII chart, you will see that decimal 76 translates to a capital L:
ASCII Table

So if you sit down with all these binary numbers and a scientific calculator (or do it in your head if you know how), you can convert each group of eight bits to a decimal number. Then you can look each of these decimal numbers up in the chart and get the associated letter.

Hensylee, roughly speaking, your binary numbers are larger in value and therefore the tool translates them into the "Extended Character Set" (used in different languages) that can be seen in the same table. It may be that this is not correct for this set of data, it may be meant for some other coding scheme, i.e. EBCDIC used in IBM mainframes.

So what you are trying to tell me is, that the business math I took in high school will not cut it! lol I have a hard enough time trying to figure out friction loss in a fire hose.

Yes, Johnny it's what you said. He was into the very FIRST IBM mainframe. He was a big time programmer with some big outfits. He figured somebody might have a good time playing with his puzzle. :confused:

It's hard to tell when you see how the stream of water wraps right around a utility pole as if it's not there! Now that's some water pressure. :eek:
