I thought I'd cite it and mention in the most recent recipient of this advice I know of: @Chuck C

take it away Chuck

I guess I better up my life insurance policy! Not only have I been shaving my face with a razor, but I also shave my head with a razor. If a razor nick on the face will cause a person to bleed out, just imagine what a quick death awaits me should I nick my scalp! 🤣

just don't nick the front side, because when it runs into your eyes it stings like a ******* ...

I think that it might be time for another rap on the knuckles to remind you that this place is not a comedy club. You are making light of something which is a life and death matter. And, should he read this thread, you might hurt the feelings of that doctor who said that we all must use electric razors now, not to mention the poor ******* that listened to him and just bought himself a $200 Norelco! 🤣 ;)

God forbid the good doctor be embarrassed by exposure to reality as regards anticoagulation lol. I certainly would never be allowed near my Japanese kitchen knives, never mind an innocent activity like shaving, if the instruction I was given 9 years ago was true! Actually, I probably shouldn't be allowed around those blades anyway; deadly little rascals!

Indeed! I make a big salad daily and a couple of years ago bought a manual push lever vegetable chopper. The blades are razor sharp and I cut myself good three times before I got it hard wired in my thick skull to use more caution. I have turned several friends and family onto the device, but always caution them about it- I call it the three cut law- seems that everyone gets 3 good cuts before they learn. Fortunately, I went through my 3 cuts before I was on warfarin, otherwise..........well, you know what the good doctor would say would happen to me! 🤣

interestingly I feel that's a theme that runs wider than the Doctors ... indeed its so pervasive that even newbies here asking about it seem to refuse to believe all of the forum participants who are on it saying its easy to manage when you know how, and not really an issue.

I'm not on warfarin AND I have a Braun, so what's that make me?

The ones I buy actually look like a book of matches. A bit more sterile since you don't reuse the tip of the pencil over and over again and risk infection from whatever might be living on the end of that thing.
