I agree with the others. Don't even remember reading a magazine, book, or newspaper. Between napping, walking, breathing and being inspected/tested, even phone calls were brief and somewhat bothersome. You won't need a computer.
I doubt you will need a second recliner unless you just want another. I don't think you will care where you are when you nap and you do need to be walking, breathing and napping as principal activities during early recovery. The time really flew by as my recovery progressed.
I do recommend a note book or journal for keeping track of meds, temps, bp, heart rate, weight(these are things they will ask you to monitor) as well as who and when people came by or called and what the docs, nurses and caregivers said or did. This especially after you go home and want to stay on top of your recovery.
