My heart just aches for you.........

My heart just aches for you.........

Just reading this horrific news brought tears to my eyes. Having suffered the loss of both my brother and sister within two years of each other, I, unfortunately, know firsthand the immense pain that you are feeling and the surrealistic world within which you are trying to function right now. It is of little consolation, I know, but I am so glad they caught the *******! (Can I say that on here?) The world can be a really frightening place these days, and your sister sounds like such a wonderful woman that will be missed by many..................what a tragedy!

Not being close enough to give you real hugs, I am sending super-sized (((cyberhugs))) your way and really hoping that the Big Guy up there wraps you in his arms, providing you with the strength to endure the days ahead, as well as comfort and peace. All of your family will be in our prayers.

Oh Ann!
I am so very sorry to hear about what has happened to your sister. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your entire family. We are all here for you to help you through this extremely difficult time. We love you.

God Bless!
Gail

SNIP - Well, to make matters worse, I've been told that Yaps, a member I've grown really found of, has lost her home and all her things due to Ivan where she used to live. SNIP

Débora from Brazil

That MISINFORMATION appears to be an ASSUMPTION by whoever posted it, based on damage in HER AREA.

YAPS has posted that her house was NOT DAMAGED by Hurricane Ivan.

IMHO, We all need to be careful with what we say and VERIFY alarming statements before hitting the SEND button!

Yaps's house

Yaps's house

On Sunday evening during our usual chat, someone mentioned what had happened to Yaps's place and that she was really sorry about having to tell me that seeing that Yaps and I are always chatting with each other. I felt so bad then that I could no longer stay on and left the chat room. I emailed her in the hope that she would answer, and I can't remember if it was on the next day, but the important thing was that I heard from her and was extremely relieved. I remember I couldn't help crying at the thought that such a nice and caring person could be going through such a horrible thing! I saw the news myself and was also surprised that her house didn't get damaged by Ivan. When I wrote that here, I really believed that was what had happened.

You KNOW

You KNOW

you sweet girl you are in our prayers. I just found this thread and called Connie, as you remember she and Jackie have worked on cases together in the past as Jackie was a "guardian ad litum" in the child welfare system which Connie handles as an adoption case worker. Connie is crushed and we know Jackie will be missed.

I am so sorry and know that these words fall short.

We talked of you as we were fleeing and returning from this fine Florida storm.

So glad you are as ok as possible.

Bless you in this time of sorrow.

Love,

Bill and Connie

Hi Hens

I just read this thread and it still hasn't sunk in. You are in my thoughts and prayers, Ann, and if there's anything I can do to help you get through this, all you have to do is ask. As you know, we've been away in the Finger Lakes, NY at a dog show for the last week, so I didn't know anything about it till we got home. Shocked and speechless are two words that come to mind to describe my emotions. I'm so very sorry for your loss and just wish I could do something to make it better for you.

The support of this panel is just unbelievable. When there was a time that I felt like coming in VR, there you all were, giving me cyber hugs. Now I give them right back to you. Thank you, thank you. You just can't possibly know how you have helped.

There comes a time when you just have to rest from the horror of the situation and leave it alone. It can't be changed in any way, so one has to learn to live with it, but push it aside as much as possible. It will dim with time tho never forgotten.

And so, press on, as Jackie would say. We are pressing on. Get on with the necessaries, she would say, and so we are trying. We falter, tho, so your prayers are very welcome, still.

I am trying to be back in VR as much as I can. The support for our newbies (and oldies, too) is always important and pleasant, don't you think?

Thank you from all of us. Love Ann
