Gina, I know that you feel devastated. The two of you are so close and you have often said 'she is my life'. I know that you have faith but sometimes it is shaken when it isn't us, but someone we care so deeply about. I recall your worry when your husband went through the kidney surgery and now here you are again facing such heartrending news and you don't even know how to react to it yet - except panic. Please, my dear, hug her a lot and you will gain strength from her and she'll never know how much she helps you. You are ALL in my prayers. Love Ann

All good wishes.......

All good wishes.......

.......for a speedy solution to this problem Gina.

I know how it is when it's your child, you'd rather it was happening to you.

Irish thoughts and prayers are winging their way to your house.

Gina,

Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family right now.
I know how scary it can be when something is wrong with our kids. I am a mom of two girls and they were the world to me when they were growing up.
All the best and I hope the outcome will be negative. Keep us posted.

Consider yourself hugged!

I?m so very sorry.

I?m so very sorry.

Gina,

It hurt so much to read your post. Somehow you will find the strength to deal with it. You have many people here thinking and praying for you, girlfriend. Stay strong... and keep the faith. You need it now more than ever.

When I was told that Ryan?s aorta was dilated and he would need surgery .... I was completely devastated. As horrible as it was the day my cardio told me that my own heart wouldn?t even survive a surgery... it was an even worse day a year later when he told me my then 16 year old would also need open heart surgery. Some days you just never forget... that?s one of them. I remember the e-mails we shared during that time. Thank you so much, and please know that I will always be here for you as well.

You must stay positive... she gets the vibes from you. I?m glad you know you can come here and ?let your hair down?.

Hi all,

Overwhelmed and the tears are flowing. You will never know how much each every response means to myself and family. Thank you thank you!

No news other than her ECG is being transfered to Loyola University for a reading by a peds cardiologist. Her Peditrician told me she would be more concerned if it were a LBBB. Nonethless for have an abnormal sitiuation that requires addressing.
I did locate a pediatric cardiologist that appears to be a good fit for us at the university. Upon results we will move forward with an echo and additional testing. Seems like this will be all non-invaise.

In my travels on the web.....have found Incomplete RBBB to be harmless, ASD, VSD , i.e hole in the heart) or pacemaker

She has so much energy we could bottle it and 20 of could use it. ;). I have a difficult time beleiving there is something major present that would require intervention at this point. Time will tell.

I love you all! Will keep you posted.

Hello, Gina, I was really set back to see that your daughter is going through this. Your daughter sounds really energetic and strong, so as the others have said, keep the faith. Focus on the fact that if there is anything serious here, you found it while she is strong, healthy, and with lots of reserve on her side.

I'm keeping you both in my thoughts.

Hi Gina,
I have not been on for a few days and I just saw your post. I can imagine how afraid you must be. When things like this happen to our kids we get so scared we can't even breathe.

I do want to tell you that I have always had an incomplete right bundle branch on my ekgs. You have probably read enough to understand what it is. My doctors have always said it is nothing and as you said not related to the valves at all.that

That being said, over the years my heart rate has been declining steadily and my resting HR is in the low 40s and I am beginning to show symptoms from it. I don't know if the RBBB is the cause and I alternate with paroxysmal A-fib (therefore the Coumadin). This set of signs and symptoms is called Sick Sinus Syndrome.

I hope you get some answers soon that will put your mind at ease and glad to hear she has lots of energy and no other signs of illness.

Hang in there, she will be fine!

Gina,
I was so sorry to read what your family is going thru now. Perhaps you can take comfort in knowing it was discovered early in her life. Take care. Tim

Thinking of you...

Thinking of you...

Dear Gina and Tracy:

This type of news sure sucks!

I know that Kara will get the best treatment and care because she has the best parents a kid could have.

This is understandably not easy to deal with for you guys, however as you can see there are many compassionate people here who have a "prayer chain" going for you, me included!

Take care.

Sincerely,

Our Prayers are with you!

Hi Gina, just found your post this morning. Sorry to hear about Kara's problem, but hopefully it will just be one of those things that need watching.

Is there any connection between her problem and yours? It doesn't really sound like it. I think it's great that you took her in for a physical, even though she didn't need one this year, otherwise you wouldn't have discovered it. Just the fact that you did that, mean's God is watching over her.

I decided to go in for a physical a year and a half ago, just because I hadn't had one in a looonngg time. Well, 6 mos. later, I ended up having surgery, and I'd hate to think what might have happened if I hadn't found out the problem even existed. I also found out at the same time about my cervical pre-cancer, that could have gotten to the invasive point, if not found early. I'm thinkin' the "Man upstairs" was watching out for me too.

We did take Molly in for a 6yr check-up, she didn't need any shots either, but I think to be on the safe side, we'll keep up the yearly check-ups.

We will certainly keep your whole family in our prayers.

Gina,

Oh my Gosh! I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter! I miss viewing one day, and look what happens! I will keep you, Kara and Tracy in my thoughts and prayers. It was a good thing you took her in for a physical. The fact she is so energetic is a good thing. She's strong and so are you. It has to be tough discovering this when Tracy is overseas! Keep the faith! I know it?s not easy with everything else that has happened to both you and Tracy. You know she?s will get the best medical care possible. After reading what fdeg wrote, it sounds like something that they will keep a close watch on, but may not be a problem until she?s way older. She is your life though and of course you?re worried and scared. It?s all so sudden! As Perry said, you can see we have all put together a unofficial prayer chain, because we do all care.

I?m also going to send you an email. Talk soon!

Gina, I dont know what to say except hang in there and I will pray for you.

I'm sorry to read of your daughter's problems..HOPE they will be just minor..Will keep her in my prayers, too. When my children were little and had those childhood fevers, accident, ect. My hubby had to tell the doctor to give me something. And it never gets any better with the grandchildren either. My age 10 year old Grandson flew to Alcupoco today...I have been edgy all day thinking of him on an airplane..You take care I'm sure she will be fine:) :) :) :) :) Bonnie

Gina - Very sorry to hear about your daughter's problem. I know you must be very concerned since she is so young. I will say a prayer for her and keep you in mind.

Hi all,

Not much to report other than I overrode my daughters pediatrician and set an appointment for next Monday directly with Loyola University. Still no return call.

Her ECG was to be transferred to the peds cardiologist at Loyola. Surprise surprise they don't have it. Her pediatrician does not have it either. Well, where on earth is it?

So, to make a long story short we are hoping all of the appropriate tests will be completed at the time of her appointment. Equipment is in office. Or shortly thereafter.

To make matters worse my carido blew me off this week too for my checkup. Not the first time. Rescheduled for next week. Kara and I will spend the better part of our next week in doctors offices. Grrrrrrrrrr. Hanging in there.

Shes having fun in summer camp this week. So at least there is something positive fun going on in her life :)
Thanks for being here for my B & M session.
