9 AM: The heaviest snow has yet to fall here in Philadelphia, but already it's pretty cold, windy and 2 to 3 inches of snow are already on the ground!

This is our house...

Great pics, Jim.:)

Unfortunatley the weather system responsible for your photo op also brought an abrupt halt to our son's Christmas return from Iraq. I thought he was onboard the plane when we received word that the flight was cancelled.
No chance of his getting home until they get the runways open at Dulles.:(

You have a beautiful home, I saw pics on TV this a.m. showing Virginia and Washington, DC, you all are supposed to get 20+ inches...You'll have to take more pics to share your white Christmas with us. :)

What a shame - am hoping its cleared soon; I am sure it will be, it usually doesn't take to long at airport, but the blowing cn be a concern for them

Got nearly 2 feet at my former home in the western Virginia mountains. Sure, it's pretty. But thank God I don't have to give my heart the ultimate stress test and go shovel that stuff.

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, that looks cold Jim..! I bet it's beautiful though.

Dadgummit Mary, so sorry that John can't get here on schedule. I know how stressful that is for you and your entire family. Hang in there, it'll clear and then you'll all be singing "cheer"..!

I wonder what the pooches think of all that snow? Some of them love it, some of them don't want to be out in it.

Snow is beautiful. I've just lost the desire for any more of it. Thanks for sharing the nice photos. Stay safe!

Beautiful pictures Jim. I like looking at it but sure would'nt want the cold. :)
You better put another log in that fire to keep warm. You don't have to dream of a White Christmas you already have one!!

Beautiful pics Jim! I remember that weather when I lived in Conn. years ago!

My husbands cousin emailed us today. They are having quiet a bit of snow in Virgina.

Mary,

So sorry your sons's Homecoming, has been detained! I know how you feel. What a terrific Christmas present though, when you finally give him a BIG HUG!!!

I Don't even want to discuss the subject! Think I moved to Ga to early and should have waited til next summer. IT'S JUST PLAIN COLD! and I want my mother!

Mary, hope John gets in soon and has a MERRY CHRISTMAS!
