I guess there is justice in this world. Glad to hear that Paris Hilton is receiving jail time for violating her drunk driving probation. She'll be living the "Simple Life" for 45 days.

Actually, I'm proud of that judge. It's about time one of them stand up against money and punish the wrong doer as anyone else would be punished.

From what I heard on the news this morning she probably will never see the inside of that jail. She will get off on some kind of appeal.
Remember money talks!
She should spend a lot more time in jail before she kills someone.

Did you hear that right after the judge passed sentence that Paris' mom said loudly "I want your autograph." Implying that he was just doing it to make a name for himself. I hope many learn a lesson from this situation.

The adelaide papers quoted Kathy Hilton as saying "This is pathetic and disgusting, a waste of taxpayers money with all this nonsense. This is a joke". Now i see where Paris gets her respect (or lack of) of the law from.....mary

Translated - "I can't believe my money won't buy our way out of this." It's about time celebrities and rich folks have to obey the laws too or end up in the slammer just like us poor old normal people.

Another example, a tragic one: The Cardinals pitcher who died in a car wreck after a game. This was very sad and I feel bad for his family (including his baseball "family"). But it turns out according to official reports that he was driving drunk, talking on a cellphone, and had marijuana in the car. (Talk about three strikes!) True, he was the only one killed but others could have been taken with him.

And others could be killed from Ms. Hilton's driving under the influence with impunity. Good for the judge for taking her probation violation seriously. If she serves the time, maybe it will be a wakeup call for her and other celebs.

I sure hope appeals fail and Paris gets to be jail bait for a while. Her mom probably should go with her. The judge should get his day in the sun, if that is what he wanted (but maybe he only wanted justice).
A mis-justice reported on Fox news this morning: A NYC judge is trying to sue a dry cleaners for 6.5 million dollars........ They lost his favorite pair of pants.
He also wants a car rental to take him to a new dry cleaners, but only for 10 years.
If Justice wasn't already blind she'd be poking her eyes out these days.
