One less for the 10th!

Well, I got the call this morning that the two open cancellation slots for 10th have been filled by others more in need of the surgery than me. The secretary said that there will DEFINITELY be no surgery in Decembaer now, but she has me still on her "Quick Response" list, so there is a chance that I will not have to wait until the end February date she suggested before. As I continue to have minimal symptoms, if any at all, I guess I can hold the fort for a bit longer. Good news is that the cancellation allows me to go to our friend's swanky birthday party on Friday - yay!
Anyway, I am going to go and bake a big lasagne as comfort food to help us decompress from the anxiety of the last few days. At least we now have a "Dry Run" under our belts and will be better prepared for the next time!
Thanks for all the support to date and all the very, very best to all who are still in line for their 10th and 11th surgery dates.

It must be disappointing for you Cameron, especially after the build-up but at least you do get to fully enjoy the festive season. And hopefully you will get a spot before February.... Have a great time at the party

Sorry to hear about the delay. I know it can be frustrating as I was bumped, too, due to similar circumstances. I ended up waiting a month. Oh well, it can't be helped so just enjoy the holiday season with your friends.
