Yes today I stay over night at a hotel the hospital provided for out of towners. First I have to say thanks to all of you for all your kindness and advice and Margarite for starting the thread to wish me well. I live approx 50 miles from NYC where New York University Hospital is located so relatives are watching the kids and the dog, my wife Leigh and I are about to take the train in. I chose not to bring my laptop with me because I dont want my wife to have to carry it around while worrying about me and it makes for a lighter travel. This will be my last contact before my Zipper Club Hazing.
They call me this evening at the hotel to tell me when to show up in the AM for surgery. Dr Stephen Colvin will perform the surgery minimally invasive and I have chosen the Porcine Valve. Although I am a little young to go tissue, my crap shoot is to hope for an an uneventfull non medicated future. I have faith in medical technology and hope that when and if I need re-surgery there will be other less invasive ways to take care of it, similar to like the post from patty PHD under the advancement forum http://www.lifesciencemedia.com/staging/1788/1788wmv/ I'll miss you guys while away in the hospital and look foward to posting back soon. I will try to have my wife Leigh give you all a heads up ASAP..........Love Jay!!
