Hi Ron

Congratulations on your anniversary!
We just did the "market hike" amongst others in San Francisco. I felt great climbing heart wise. Had the wrong shoes on though:D You really can tell what kind of shape you are in under those circumstances!

Your doing great. Nice to see you.Visit us more often!

Take care.

Out of the Woodwork

Wrote last week to keep my name in, but took too long to post and message got lost - think the three kids might have been a distraction!

Decided this was a fitting date to post. Ken had his one-year anniversary today (mechanical aortic valve). What a blessing to have him alive and much healthier than this time last year! God has been gracious to us.

Ken now plays golf regularly and can walk the 18 holes. When he overdoes things he still gets tired, but bounces back faster and his endurance has increased a lot. INR remains fairly stable and this is very good. He has his cardio appt. end of August and we'll find out how much the heart has been able to recover and how he's doing on all the heart meds.

Want to say a special thanks to all who contribute to this site, especially the regulars. You are pillars of strength and provide a good balance of humor, compassion and information.

I lurk a lot to see how everyone is doing and add my prayers to the others when someone is having a hard time.

God bless you all. Have a great rest of the summer.

Sharron

Hello

Hello

HI, just want to say hi to all my VR friends. Been traveling a good deal and haven't been near a computer for a while. Everything is going great and I think I will be on the VR site a bit more now and get caught up with everyone.

Just Checking In

Haven't posted in awhile and thought I'd take this
opportunity to say "Hi!".
Had my AVR surgery in April of 2002 and every thing is going well.
(Turned 70 this past April -- not old yet!)
An 83-year old local friend of mine had AVR surgery earlier this year and he is doing o.k.
Best wishes to all.
