Thanks, Burair. For some reason I really was taken aback by that term critical. I appreciate your description of it. My cousin who does angiograms (etc.) for the leading heart replacement surgeons here in town told me not to even consider listening to that anasthesiologist. Talking with him last night was helpful.
The problem with my symptoms is that I tend to gloss over things. I'm not very physically attuned. Things don't bother me. My father drove himself to the doctor while he was having his heart attack because it wasn't overwhelming enough to him. He knew the warning signs and was experiencing some so just drove to the doctors. Obviously it wasn't a severe one, but it did require an immediate triple by-pass. When he offered to drive himself to the hospital, his physician was not amused . Anyway, he and I are alot alike.
For some reason, it seems it is difficult to convey symptoms to some doctors. I look too healthy to everyone!! And how would I know if I were in heart failure? Where's the checklist on that?
Now, too, my husband is sorry he ever mentioned the rise in insurance cost because he was hoping we could take a little trip first. It has been raining for over 30 days here -- actually unusual -- and everyone is getting a little water-logged and antsy for some sunshine!
So, it's good to hear your reassurances. I appreciate them. I'm always telling everyone else to breathe. I think I need to do that myself!! I won't delay. I'll just breathe.
Thanks again everyone!
