Hi, my name is Kim and I am a 44 year old mother of 2. I just wanted to thank you all for all of the info you have posted about your own experiences. I am scheduled to have my tricuspid valve replace on Jan. 9th, due to Ebsteins anomaly, at the Mayo Clinic. They will also put in a shunt from my right ventrical to help it pump blood more efficiently to my lungs and will have my asd closed and have a maze procedure for rhythm problems . I had OHS when I was 17, but this is much bigger than that one was. It's reassuring to read that so many of you have done so well.

Welcome Kim, I'm so glad you found us. I'm putting your surgery date on the calendar. Wishing you a successful surgery.

Welcome Kim,

I'm curious how you ended up being referred to Mayo Clinic with DUKE (another Very Highly Ranked Heart Hospital) just across the state?

Best wishes for your 'Heart Fix'.

I grew up in Charlotte, and Jan 9 is my husband's birthday.

My 19 yo son is the one with heart problems, but I wanted to suggest you also check out the forums at the adults with CHD org http://www.achaheart.org/boards/index.php ( you have to register)There are a few members that travel to Mayo since they are one of the top ACHD centers in the world, so might be able to give you tips.
