New battle to fight

I am Marvins wife and just posting in to request prayer from everyone on here. You were here and helped us though the open heart process and now we have found out that we have another battle to fight. This time it is cancer. Marvin goes in for a pet scan and biospy for head and neck cancer. Please keep him in your prayers.

Thank you all for your prayers for us. Here we had the coldest day of the year -7 to travel to Indy for Marvins test. Thank goodness they had valet parking at the hospital so we didnt have to walk far in the cold. We didnt get the results of the pet scan yet but the Dr that did the biospy said it was Squamous Cell Carn. otherwise know as scc. Marvins is cancer of the tongue and it has spread to the lymph nodes on his left side of his neck. Our pray is that it has gone no futher. That is what the pet scan will tell us. I call tommorrow to find out the date that they will start him on his treatments. Does anyone on here know if marvin will need to take anything special like he does when he goes to the dentist while he is taking these treatments? Nobody has said anything about it but he did have to have something at the hospital today before his biospy.

Sorry I dont have advice for you , and also sorry to hear this news about Marvin. I saw a man on tv just the other day, who had tongue cancer. He had it (the cancer) cut out and a piece of muscle from his arm sewn back in place. It sounds a bit weird but he was there ''ALIVE AND WELL''....talking and eating perfectly normal. So there is hope. I will keep you both in my prayers.

We did get some good news yesterday. The cancer has not spread. We go for apt. with chemo doctor 2/9/07. I will let everyone know what will be going onafter that. Thanks for all your prayers.
