4.6 Wow you are lucky you went to get checked. WHO was following you since your bleed last month? Looks like they dropped the ball. I hope they can figure out where the bleed is coming from

Hi Irish,

I'm very happy that you found us too! You will feel so much better, after your initial recovery! I was basically asymptomatic, but I know quiet a few who experienced what you are. The surgery is literally a new lease on life!

Let us know how you are doing, Please.

God speed!

Now two weeks later and hg now 11.6. Still have not figured out where bleeding from. Went to dr. today and am to be admitted for surgery this Friday Oct. 23. Want to get to get my life back, but now find myself scared to death!!! Guess from unknown more than anything. I will get bovine valve due to problem bleeding on coumadin, and will have maze procedure for afib. Will have to do eight inch incision and of course this thrills me to no end!! Please keep me in prayers. irish

Irish, Wishing you all the best for a successful surgery and a smooth, bump-free recovery. I will put you on the calendar for tomorrow. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Rest easy tonight!

Nadine

Hoping all goes well for you, Irish :) .

My uncle, a few years older than you, also needed a new aortic valve and was having some kind of bleeding from unknown origin. At one point, the docs thought his malfunctiong native valve was causing the bleeding, via a lycing situation, although I don't know the final conclusion in regard to that. His doctors recommended a tissue valve for him, which he got a couple of months ago and he's now feeling great.

Irish..

Irish..

May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
the rain fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of his hand.

Thank You,

I hate the thought of all the pain I have been told to expect, but it does help to have someone who has been thru it cheering me on. God Bless You for your help. irish

I'm glad you had surgery and were home so quickly, I'm sorry to here you had to go back and hope they find what reason and can help you feel better soon

Sorry to hear you had to go back...I hope they find the cause and are able to get you back home in no time. Good luck, and keep us posted.

Irish, I hope they learn the cause of the a-fib that is obviously exhausting you so much. My thoughts for a speedy solution and uneventful recovery are yours.

Take Heart,
Pamela.

Best Wishes Irish! My OHS was in Febuary on Friday the 13th! Talk about tempting fate! But I'm fine, I feel great and it wasn't as bad as advertised. Hang in there and have faith in your doctors. I sincerely hope they solve the bleeding issue! You will be OK. I just know it!
