Wow, that brought out the tears--what a wonderful story! Thnks for sharing it, Ross.

Ok, what are you doing tomorrow afternoon? I'll be visiting a friend at Firestone park in Akron and I can swing down to North Canton afterwards...say about 2:30? How about meeting in the coffee shop of Borders bookstore at the Portage Street exit off of I77?

I am crying so hard it's hard to type. Thanks, Ross, for making me smile too.

I could do that, but I don't want you to make an extra 12 mile trip to see my sorry face. It can wait until your daughter has a game closer or in town. Let me know for sure, so I don't miss ya! PM or email me about tomorrow. ;)

I have a running conversation with one of the baggers at my local grocery store. Hardly mentally challenged, he is an 81-year-old retired engineer. He remarked one day on the healthy composition of my order and proceeded to tell me about a book he had just finished about where our food supply comes from and the path it takes to our table (it's called, The Carnivore's Dilemma). He agreed to lend me the book and left it for me--darned near a perfect stranger--at the service desk. I kept it and read it for nearly a month and we exchanged insights about it the next couple of times I went through his line. How cool is that?
