Whoa!!!

Did you know how much that thing was open?? Mine was 0.8, so I'm wondering what it looked like!

That's a bit nasty, all right.

It's too bad it is so unusual to get a picture of our bad valve. I think you have some pretty good bragging rights with this bad boy. Just think, we could have something like a baseball card. Avitar on one side, and bad valve on the other. Impress your neighbors, and trade 'em with your friends. I wouldn't care to mess with the guy tough enough to have been walking around with that inside him.

WOW, thats crazy, that thing looks like a big jumble. Glad they fixed that for you. I wish I could have seen mine, the only thing I know they did was remove calcium buildup around that area.

I was unable to keep my diseased aortic valve and now that I've seen yours, I don't think I need the memory (with all due respect). Wow. I'm so glad that your surgery was a success. As I recall, you and I had surgery on December 11th. Four weeks and counting...

Thanks for the post!

Mike

I saw that calamari comment, and then I realized: I can't bear to eat tortellini anymore (and I'm a carb-loving, pasta-eating gal!). Tortellini reminds me of valves. Seriously, it looks like a leaflet with the annulus attached. And with pasta sauce...ew. My hubby cooked some up the other night and handed me a plate, saying, "Here, hon, eat your valves." I about lost my appetite.

Glad to see your doing well Stretch and Thanks for the pic. I have never seen what a real valve good or bad looks like. Pretty incredible. Hope all is well with you and have a groovy day!:D

Yikes, that is some picture! Hard to see how it could have been a functioning valve.....sure glad you got a new one before it gave out altogether! What a neat thing to do, have pictures taken of your valve and surgery.

Stay well,

Nan
