This morning early my bank called to say there was unusual activity on the credit card they have for me. I refused take the fellow's word that he was who he said he was because I never give out personal information via phone or internet, so he told me to call back the Ph# on the back of my card. I did. Turns out someone has stolen my credit card #! When there is unusual
activity on your card or activity from some other state or area that isn't yours, the credit card company is automatically alerted and follows through. There are charges from places I never heard of. They will send me an affidavit to sign to assure them it isn't me, will void the current card, issue another one. And these charges are wiped out - no charges to me. Then my confidence began to flag. Wouldn't yours? I called my other card
companies and only the one was invaded, but it certainly affects my thinking for the rest of the day and makes me aware of how vulnerable we are these days. You might want to be sure to check your bills for any charges that are not yours. Seems we are way too vulnerable, aren't we. Just sittin here mindin my business and BOOM - gotcha.
Furthermore, when I got up at 4 I heard either thunder or bombing from AFB - can't tell anymore unless the thunder turns out to be RAIN.
Then as I am sufferin on the porch about the credit card, a train went by at the highway carrying military heavy trucks/trailers headed for Iraq, I guess. A strong reminder of war that I don't want to think about.
Reckon the day will get better?
