Passed away today....Bill turned age 65 Thursday....Bill and I both had open-heart surgery around the same time. We enjoyed walking and watching our Grandkids at the pool..during the summer...Last summer, Bill found a lump in his leg..then in the Fall was told that it had spread to his lungs and brain..the deadly form of skin cancer. He chose to have the Brain surgery..knowing it would only give him 3 more months.....Sad....sometimes, I tend to dwell on my heart surgery and forget that something else could go wrong with some other part of your body so quickly.:( :( :( :( :( We must enjoy everyday God gives us on this earth..:) :) :Bonnie)

Bonnie-

How sad to have lost such a good friend. True friends are hard to come by. He'll be missed. How nice that you were able to share some wonderful times. He'll be just a thought away.

I too am sorry to hear of the loss. Your right. We worry so much about our hearts that we really forget about other body parts until they sound off. :(

I am sorry about the loss of your friend, Bonnie. I have a friend at work who frequently says, "Every day is a gift." It is an expression that I try to remember every day. Remember the good times with your friend.

Dear Bonnie,
I'm saddened to hear of the loss of your good friend.

Hi B

I too am sad to hear of your loss. Every day truly IS a gift. I will put you in my prayers.

Bonnie,

So sorry to hear about your friend Bill. Yes, life can throw us some real serious punches at times. I can relate...
The year before last we had a friend who went to the doctor with pains in her belly in January. They did all kinds of testing and gave her medication, but the pain continued and went from bad to worse. Early August of that year they finally put her in de hospital to do extensive testing, but when the results came back it was too late already. She had pancreatic cancer, and October 5th she died.

I too am saddened by your loss. I lost a former employye and very nice young man to cancer on Friday. I hope you take comfort in remembering the wonderfulness of your freindship with Bill

Bonnie,

You also have my condolences on the loss of your friend, Bill. Your description of sitting around the pool watching grandkids reminds me that I need to contact one of our family friends (who sits around the pool wathing her grandkids...) just to say hi. Last time we talked she was in perfect health, but, as you have observed, you never know when that will change. Thanks for the reminder of how special friendships can be.

Bonnie,

You are so right about each day being a gift. As humans we do sometimes get pretty one-dimensional. We do it on our hearts and related situations but I think it applies to everyone to one thing or another.

I am saddened by the loss of your friend. I lost a very good friend the day after Christmas. She went from being a little under the weather to dead within about 5 weeks. She was 51 and had acute liver failure.

bonnie,

Another loss for you to face. I am so sorry to hear about this. And yet you stay the upbeat and positive CHEERLEADER you have always been.

I don't get around much anymore, but think of you and the others very often. Thanks for being there.

Best

Bonnie:

So sorry to hear you have lost a close friend.

I lost one of my best friends recently. Because her grandkids are very young, 8 at the most, I've decided to make a journal of memories of her and make copies for her daughters to give to their children. I lost my grandfathers when I was 5 and 7 and wish I knew more of them.

Perhaps this is something you might want to do for your friend's family, to describe such wonderful memories of times spent with your friend.

Bonnie,

Sorry to hear of your loss of a dear friend. The loss of a loved one is a heavy burden.

We all eventually will die, so we must remember to value each day and love and appreciate what has been given to us.
When you are saddened by thoughts, bring to mind those wonderful memories and may they give you peace.

Thanks Everyone

Thanks Everyone

John and I just returned from our friend..Bill's Memorial Service. Bill was cremated. Today..his family had a Memorial Service for Bill. I would like to tell a little. It was held in a beautiful small church in our valley. Small white church, rock walls.ect. Packed full..Picture of Bill and his watercolor paintings. He, just took up water coloring in last 3 years..on his own..no lessons....Minister mentioned that..it's never too late in life to take up a hobby that you love.....Many personal Eulogies..Grandchildren..who said..he was more like a Father than a Grandfather. (2 divorces early with his children)..I saw that every summer..when his Grandchildren came for summer visits...Most were how Bill would make everyone laugh. He did that to me after our open-heart surgeries. He would say, show me your scar and I will show you mine.:D :D :D :D Family said he was always upbeat..until the morphine sat in..They took him home to pass. around many loving family and friends.. I was impressed because everyone in Church was dressed up...Coat, ties, dresses..and Bill was always so casual with his dress code. Drove a white Mustang. Ragtop:D Everyone wanted to show..how much WE admired him....Bonnie

Bonnie, I'm so sorry to hear about your friend Bill. My prayers are with you and his family.

Love and God Bless
