Ok, I know we've had several threads on here about getting drug companies and others to pay for your meds when you can't afford it. I don't have any idea what those links were...I think Ross had the best list of them. Also, I know that Ross and others post links to some types of food pantries or something like that for people who need help. I'm looking for any of those kind of links people can help me find.
I have a friend who I grew up with who is in dire financial shape and needs medical help. Her husband left her when she woke up one morning completely paralyzed from the waist down. With a lot of physical therapy, she has regained the ability to walk, with a walker. She also started having daily seizures and has lost the ability to drive, much less work. She has no idea what is really causing all of this because she can't afford to get an MRI or CT scan or any other tests. She is supposed to take a ton of meds every day but can't afford them. She has applied for SS disability, but as many of you know, you are usually denied the first time. She now has an attorney and hopefully, something will come of that.
So, I'd just like to offer her some more areas to look for help that she may not know about. Thanks for all of your help.
