Madsdad,

I haven't been online for a while and didn't read your earlier thread for a while. Madison is such a spunky kid! It sounds as though you and your wife are pretty spunky as well. I worked on a pediatric ward for 7 years and never failed to be amazed by the courage of families. God bless you all.

Madison Inspired Me

After reading this, I decided that I wasn't going to let a few needles and one tiny hole deter me. So I had my prostate cryosurgery today and was back home 15 hours to the minute that I left.

Thanks, Madison

Hi Madison....

Hi Madison....

What a luscious little Georgia peach you are!:p Just like you, I've got a 23MM St. Jude aortic valve and it didn't make me nearly as cute as you are....:( I think I want a refund.......:D

Hugs and best wishes to you from the town with the largest waterpark in the world [hint, hint Dad]...

Madison is adorable! I wish we lived closer as I know my six-year-old, Jessica would love to ride with her! (She's still learning).

Best,

Madison looks Great! I am glad to hear she is progressing so well..... You adults- don't get any ideas to ride those big adult tricycles post op. I tried one once and forget it, when you when to turn the wheel you felt like you were driving a truck! I'll stick to my two wheeler.... but 6 days....nah, Madison's got us all beat.:D

How long do the docs want you to keep Madison out of school? Looks like she's mostly going to really enjoy it. No need to make that kid "breathe walk nap" - you guys are going to be worn out and she'll be running around enjoying a healthy heart for the first time ever!

Many congrats. I hope you posted Madison's history under personal stories - I'm sure other parents will show up here in the future and will find great strength from her story.

Way to go!

Way to go!

Dad:

Looks like Madison is doing terrific. I've had several co-workers who are parents of youngsters look at her photo on my computer. They are truly amazed at what she's been through and at her progress.
