I know you are going into Mass General on Wed for your MVR, John and want to wish you the best of surgeries and an uneventful recovery. You are in good hands and will do well. Godspeed.
Thanks for the kind words. I do the pre-op stuff on Tuesday - my summary is that they shave me down and paint me orange (betadine). Then surgery on Wed. Pretty anxious but I have a good surgeon, friends, and a long-suffering wife. Serious rehab stuff does not start for 5-6 weeks. Spaulding Rehab says just walk for a while and let the sternum heal. Well - I guess waling is serious rehab also.
Thoughts/prayers coming your way for a SUCCESSFUL surgery .
