It's time for valve replacement, 3 yrs from repair

Thanks to all. Update, is that I called my health care provider, and they are sending me info on COBRA. I would just have to pay up to date, which ever plan I choose, and 65% of that monthly charge would be paid by the government, under the current Obama stimulus package, starting when that bill was signed, which I believe is Feb 22.

I'm still looking into whether they would also pay any percentage of my co pay, which, for those of you who have already had OHS, it adds up quickly.

I would put it off, but I'm not likely to make much this year anyway, and I would much rather have this done during the warmer time of the year.. It has been a long winter this year.

Off to check the PO box, and hope info has arrived.

I'll be praying for you Harry. Hope everything works out for the best. You are in my thoughts going through surgery again would be tough. We are here for you. Hope to have good news about your insurance soon. Keep us updated.

I'm glad you will still be able to get cobra and even better the gov is picking up part of it now. We had Cobra when Justin had his surgery in 05 and then are payments were like 1300 a month (whihc is really hard when you aren't working) Luckily thru our insurance we didn't have co pays for surgeries.
It makes sense to have the surgery now that you are laid off, instead of just getting back to work and having to go out for surgery and recovery.
