It was a tough hill to climb, but I did it!

I was throwing-up in ICU-blood and hospital/home-all those meds
perocet made me sick also, I stopped most of my meds the first few weeks, I had enough of the nausea/vomiting.

Boy you've been through hell and back and survived to talk about it, the notch at the top of your scar will eventually get smaller, I still have one but it's gone down a lot.

I slept in a recliner for 2 months, getting back in bed was tough, since hubby likes to toss and turn, but with pillows and blankets tucked in just the right places, I'm very comfortable now.

My prayers are still with you,

Alicia, soo glad you are now home and up to sitting at your computer. You really had a rough time and I hope your recovery is easier. As everyone says, continue to use that spirometer, walk and nap. Get fresh air when the weather allows. My surgery was 4 years ago, and how well I remember that "knot"--the first thing I saw! Scared me to death! But it does eventually get back to normal, but you will still have the scar, alas you can get cover up for that! Hang in there and keep us posted. Susan:cool:

Today was a very good day. The sun was shining and I walked 3 different times today about 1/5 a mile each time. I had hardly any shortness of breath at all!! I could not have walked that far prior to my surgery without huffing and puffing. What a difference a week makes. Today is my 2 week anniversary with my new improved St Judes and I am trully feeling blessed!:)
