I don't know if you can get it in stores, but Tri Derma cream (www.dermafasthealing.com) is an Aloe and Zinc cream that heals miraculously. Can't see any scars or traces from by encounter with the garage gate. I would also really press my doctor, if I was that uncomfortable, I'd make a big effort to get relief one way or another. I finally broke down and used vitamin E capsles. I broke several open last night and rubbed them all over the outside of the incision.

I fee like a new person.

Doc might not be happy about it if he ever found out, but I am the one living with it.

Thanks for all the advice. I think I will try the massage as well and look at some of the creams suggested.
