Hi All
We've just got rain. Had a tiny bit of slushy goop this morning and then it all turned to rain. it's 35 here at 5 pm....might get some sleet tonight but tomorrow is going to be in the high 50s......I'm so glad we moved.

light snow all day in our part of Virginia. currently 28F. Supposed to be sleet tonight, freezing rain, then rain tomorrow. Just hope it is decent Saturday, because we're flying to TUCSON...

Snow here last night and for the first part of the morning, since about 2pm EST we have had ice and sleet so not a good night and school has already been cancelled for tomorrow since we got about 4 inches of snow last night and now ice and we are supposed to get about 6 more inches of snow tonight. Cold and really yucky here between Cincinnati and Dayton. We are supposed to be half way decent on Thursday, but snow again either Friday or Saturday. My brother down by Louisville sent me pictures of the ice on his back deck and it is not pretty. Glad I am in Ohio and not Kentucky even though we are only less than 45 minutes from the Kentucky border (about 3 hours from my brother!)

My son is in Phoenix and they are wearing shirt sleeves today!!! He just left here last Tuesday to move back there so he missed the yucky stuff and is laughing at us here!

It's sleeting right now -- I can hear it hit against the windows.
What with working for a newspaper, there'll be no snow day for me tomorrow. If I have to, I'll work online from home and get to work as soon as the roads start thawing.
John called in sick today and several minutes later classes were canceled at the community college he works at. (I told him to push for it being an ice day for him, rather than a sick day.) They've announced delayed opening tomorrow -- noon.

I will be very very careful tomorrow. I still have nightmares of John's car accident 3 years ago on an icy day, the accident that injured his mitral valve.

Hey DebbyA your flewing into to Tucson. It's going to be a beautiful weekend here, in the 70s. We have a whole vr group here in Tucson. You should give us a call. PM one of us if you can.

It was 70 when I left work at 5:45. When I got home at 6:15 it had dropped to 48. Now it is 42 and misty rain. Yuck! Winter in Texas is either beautiful or cold and wet! I know many of you don't think 42 is that cold, but with 79% humidity and 15-20 mph gusty winds, it just hits you in the face. I took the dogs for a walk and came back with extremely curly hair!

Snow is blowing up this way. I can hardly wait:rolleyes: I am sick of the snow and the cold. This is the first year it has bothered me. Although, I must admit, I will take snow any day over ICE. That stuff is miserable.....Best of luck to you that have ice.:(

8 inches of snow fell yesterday and 1 inch of ice overnight on top of it. More snow expected this morning. Getting the generator out of the garage just in case. Needless to say - staying put and hibernating.

If this system is moving your way, LOOK OUT!

If this system is moving your way, LOOK OUT!

Overnight we added another inch of ice and four inches of snow to yesterday's accumulation. It's still snowing, but it's expected to stop by noon.
My husband is trying to get to work at the hospital, but after 40 minutes he's only made it as far as the top of the street. :eek:The hospital is sending a car out for him. :)
Good luck to those in the path of this system, and remember, I warned ya!:p

We have snow, snow, and more snow. It has been snowing since last night. We probably have a good 6 inches now and they say a possible 8 more inches! This winter has not been nice to much of the states. So coooold and we have to have our daily dose of snow. Sorry to our Canadian friends ( and others), I know you get a big blast all the time:( Really tired of this. Oh well, a couple more months. Geeze, I hope we don't have snow in June LOL.

For once this year, a storm passed by us ... completely! Woot!

*sighs*

Little consolation, though, considering how dang COLD it still is. Where the heck is SPRING????

:)

we have two daffodils in bloom, plus wild violets, birds everywhere preparing for spring and their babies - however, it's very cold and the ground is white with frost. tonight it's going into low 20s and tomorrow night in the teens. when it gets this cold, we must drip faucets to prevent freezing them. on this coming Saturday it will be in the 70s!!!!! strange. go figure.
