I was really surprised to read all the e-mails asking if I was alive. I didn?t know ya all worried about me so much. Thank you!! I appreciate it.

I just got home a few days ago and have been busy, busy ever since. I spent a few days in Vegas and Christmas with my oldest son and his wife in CA. We also stopped and visited my 84 year old Aunt Sara on the way home. :) We had a great time. I?m leaving for the weekend.... But after next week when my Ry goes back to college things should be somewhat back to normal. Oh.... did I tell you guys that we had an echo done right after he got home for winter break? But they couldn?t see the part of his aorta that is dilated, so we?re having an MRI done tomorrow. Ry is determined to have the surgery this summer... he just wants it over with. I'm not all that anxious if its not needed yet.

Thanks everyone. I love you guys!!

Welcome Back

Welcome Back

Hi Rain

It is so good to see you back, I missed you !!!

I realised that you had to be away visiting family

I hope you had a great Christmas and New Year

I hope all goes well with Ryan,

Love to you all

Jan

Rain,
Tell the truth. You are a covert CIA operative and you were on a mission. Nice try with the visiting relative/Vegas vacation cover.

Tell Ryan 'best of luck for the new semester' for me. My life has been in the hectic mode w/ both my kids home on break. Shelby goes back Sunday and Derek in a week. Then it's life back to normal - which means missing them.

Rain,

Just wanted to say hello and welcome back. I have been "living" on this board for the last eight weeks after my surgery - I get such encouragement and empathy from everyone.

Glad you had such a great holiday! I will be thinking of your son - hope he can put off his surgery a little longer.

Christina L.

Dear Ms CIA - were you the one that got him out of the hole? Tell us all about it. Secret, you say? oh

Nice to see you - I know you enjoyed every moment. Welcome home.

Wondered why my INR was so stable. :D Now your home to let that darn dog out and it's gonna be messed up again. :D

Hi Rain - Glad you're back. I'm with Ross: my INR has been pretty stable. Please keep that dog out of the garden ! Chris

Ya know what they say about those CIA agents..... lol

Ya know what they say about those CIA agents..... lol

I took Ry for the MRI last week and you will never believe what happened. He was to tall!! They tried every which way to make it work, but it just wasn?t gonna happen. The doctor who was going to be the one reading the results told me that the machine only works at peek performance for people under 6'. Makes me wonder why the test was ordered to begin with?! I?ll be quizing my cardio about it. Anyway... if you?re over 6' and an MRI of your heart is ordered.... you might want to ask some serious questions about the accuracy of the test. It wasn?t only about accuracy for Ry tho... it was simply physically impossible. We ended up doing another CT Scan instead. I haven?t got the results yet. Hopefully this test will help give us the information we need to make the final decision about when to have the surgery.

Hey, you know... I've noticed Onyx isn?t real fond of the flower beds in the winter time... and my INR tends to be more stable in the winter too. Hmmmmm

Hi Rain

Hi Rain

Glad you are back to posting. Has Ryan gone back to school? Know you will miss him..:D Can they not do a cath of heart on him? Seems like that is the way to go for looking for things? But, I'm not much help with tests results?:p :p Just post to encourage people.:p :p Do yall have much snow? Bonnie

Hi Rain,

I'm also glad to see you back. Did you get Ryans Cat Scan report yet?

I agree with you. It seems like a poorly designed diagnostic tool that won't accomodate someone nice and tall.

Have you thought about an invisible fence around that flower bed? I'm sure many of us would chip in...................
