I am so glad you are through the wilderness. I too came throughjust fine. My surgery is was on friday 7-11-08 and I just got released from the hospital yesterday and last night was horrible to sleep. The pain is HORRIBLE, but i am a whimp. I had a breakdown this morning because I saw the incision in the mirror and where the tubes were. my mom gave me a right kick in the bum and said you are hear to see that incision and everything else and that my dear is a blessing in itself. Plus, my husband is still attracted to me so that is good. I just told him that i dont want him to look at me for at least 6 weeks!!! i am sorry for venting, i am glad you got through the wilderness and this is the first step to recovery.

Hon you gotta stop beating yourself up. While I know that scar aggravates you, it is your badge of honor, won in the battle of you life. Wear it with PRIDE. It's normal to feel the way you do right now, but it will get better. I'm just trying to help you see the more positive side of it all.
