Hi All you well wishers!
I am in a private room, woo hoo, and have gotten all the info on my surgery tomorrow morning. I may get a dacron plus valve already attached.
I get to have a shower tonite and in the am with special staph killing soap!
My surgery will take a long time. 3 pm was mentioned for the end of it.
I am feeling that this is a bit surreal. I don't think it's sunk in yet that I'm having OHS tomorrow. I feel good. Found out the reason lots of redo's are not good. Scar tissue forms between the sternom and the heart, and getting into the chest becomes more and more tricky as the surgeries go by. Well, any scar tissue makes it more difficult. My surgeon is prepared and I feel so confident in him and his team.
Thanks for all the good thoughts.

Hi!

Hi!

Hi Gail,

Wow, you are spending the day in comfort! I hope you get some sleep too. Hope all goes well and you are back home to write about it soon! Is anyone going to post your progress while you are in the hospital?

You are in my thoughts from now until we hear from you, maybe I can even check in next week if you are feeling ok. I'll be there for my echo at my doctor's office.

All the best!

It all sounds great, Gail!:)

Get a good night's sleep, and we'll see you in a few days!:)

Dear Gail, I wish you all the best these next 12 hours waiting to go into surgery!! I got to take a shower in the hospital the night before too. Make sure you wash your hair REALLY good , It will be the last time for about a week! I know the last 12 hours are the worst, well the last 2 are scary too, but you'll do great, look at all of us we are doing fine- I know I am much better now then before surgery. Post to us and let us know how you are after surgery and tomarrow will start your new life!!! Take care Debbie :)

Gail, I wish you all the best!! I cannot wait to hear your posts from the other side. Hopefully from the same comfy room! All will be well.

Wow! What a lucky lady you are! How did you get to spend the night in the hospital and in a private room with a computer? I had to get up at 5 a.m. the morning of surgery, bathe with the special soap, and then hit the freeway.

Looking forward to hearing from you on the other side!

Gail wishing you all the best, and can't wait for
your good surgery post when able.Prayers and good thoughts
comming your way.

Best wishes Gail!!!!!,,,there is a terrific waterless shampoo at Sally's and most beauty supply shops. It will make you feel like a million bucks till you can wash your hair for real.

Gail,

This may be a little late for you to see before going in, but then on the other hand you should be out by now and on the other side! Congratulations!!!

Randy
