WHOOHOO!!!!!
Glad you got someone who's LISTENING now Lori!!! Feels pretty good eh? =)
Didn't realize you were on then got taken off digoxin... That would go towards explaining some of your symptoms right there...
I feel kinda lousy after just missing one day's dose and that's just one of four different medications I take every morning.
I have noticed through my own experiences that when one doctor knows another in a different specialty and so forth they tend to work together at times to treat some patients. A lof of referals I've had for various things, including having my wisdom teeth removed, came from my cardiologist, not my primary physician.
My primary knew about who I was seeing and for what, but it was my cardiologist who set me up for various things because he knew I'd have "special needs" in regards to my heart that I couldn't have addressed by just going to any physician.
Go ahead and kiss that GI doc of yours, or at least give her a thank you card. She deserves to be recognized for stepping in as an advocate for a patient, even if she was addressing a concern that was not in her specialty.
Who knows how much longer it might have taken for you to get the right help if it hadn't been for her....
