A Very Strange Thing that Happened.
We were at The Old Capitol Grill for our Saturday Night Dinner and our waitress (her name is Linda) was getting ready to take the order from our table and she asked what the heart name tags were all about. I told her that this was a reunion for VR.com and that we were people from all over that have had or are going to have OHS for valve replacement or repair. She told us that her son had OHS when he was 12 and had a human valve put in and something about a second surgery. This year he had to have surgery again to have both his aortic and mitral valves replaced and she told us that he did not make it through the surgery. He was 21. She was talking to Jean when we were done and told her that the surgery lasted over 20 hrs. She also told us that he had worked for the Golden Hotel, the one we were having the reunion at.
She also talked to Hank and sounds like she might checkout the site.
It was very moving.
