Miss Bon

You all have my best wishes for a very speedy recovery......how could they miss an appendix? You're all in my prayers, girlfriend.

Evelyn

Haven't heard anything since, but I'm sure we'll either see a post or I'll get a phone call when she has time to do so. I think it's going to be interesting to find out just what the heck was in there that they saw on the catscan. No way in the world that I know of to go in and not take an appendix out the first time around.

I telephoned her this morning on her cell, but she was offline. I left a voice mail to let her know we are thinking of them and sending prayers. I am sure she knows this already.

Didn't Wes have hernia surgery last year?

Just hoping there was some word.............

Just hoping there was some word.............

from Bonnie. I will be praying super hard that no news is good news. Hugs to ya Bonnie. Janet

Really weird!

Really weird!

I've never heard of such a thing, but could they have misdiagnosed the whole thing in the first place? Whatever happened during that surgery, I do pray it's not irreversible and that he'll soon be up and about. Looking forward to hearing from Bonny, and hopefully, good news!!

Thank you all

Thank you all

I have just returned home..I was in Alabama a week ago today..when my daughter called and said, Allen had awaken with great pain in his side at 3:30 a.m. Sat. a.m... and he was back in hospital going thru many tests..again.... I came to her home on Sunday...His catscan had shown an appendix... 2 more days of antibodies and finally they decided to operate late Tuesday night for his appendix..but did an exploratory surgery..due to not wanting to go near where the appendix was....and told us it may be more than just his appendix still there but may have to take some colon off... We were all very scared..due to the anestilogist(sp)? coming in room and telling us that he was going to put in a tube thru an epidural for pain relief for 3 days...........the surgery was successful...YES..the appendix was still there... Last August..he was admitted for a ruputured appendix...and the way the doctors explained to us..it was a life or death matter..much swelling, infection, ect..and they missed that the appendix was still there...when they were in there. ..It took him many months to recover..and he had another flareup in Jan..between their trips to Russia. He was there for 4 days..on antibodies.. Came home, did fine..went to Russia for our Grandchildren..Thank the Lord it didn't happen in Russia... This time JUST the appendix..no colon removed..They even told him in Jan..he had Chroms disease..but, he didn't believe them..This surgery proved them wrong..... We brought him home this afternoon..to recover for 4-6 weeks...Daughter is going to let the surgeons, hospitals deal with their Insurance..on how to code 2 Appendix operations.  Tuesday..we had all 7 doctors to come in to see him..who had messed him up... :( :( :( 3 surgeons, gastro man, ect..I'm sure they were all concerned with a lawsuit........Sorry I could not come on before now..but taking care of 2 Grandchildren 24/7...while daughter stayed at hospital.......My S/I/L's family came home last night from a vacation in Fla.  So, it's only been me, Hubby and my son Wes to help........Ann, I got your message..but with 2 little ones..no time to do any calling..Just taking care of them....S/I/L's family will help tomorrow and I will go back on Monday.............I did call Mary's Hubby while kids were taking a nap today. He said, Mary will go home tomorrow. :) Yes, again, for all who ask about missing my S/I/L's appendix..heard it a thousand times this week. One surgeon said in the room..that most people have no problems with appendix but Allen's was very complicated last August. so..that's their excuse..but daughter is firm to say..They will not pay...Bonnie

Bonnie-

I've been waiting to see your post. Your poor son-in-law, he's been through so much. I hope that he will finally be able to heal and have some health. Thank goodness they didn't have to take part of his colon.

It is so hard to hear these kinds of things happening.

Hope things improve now!

Hope things improve now!

I am glad to hear the the appendix is out for real this time. I have actually heard of people having their appendix out and then having it grow back. The same with tonsils. Wierd. Don't know how true it is but just that I have heard that. Hopefully, your son-in-law will not have any more problems with his appendix or colon. I would say he has had more than his fair share.

Sending prayers

Michelle

Glad that he will be coming home and they really got it this time. I don't blame your daughter for not wanting to pay twice for the same operation. I am sure they will come to an acccommodation rather than face a law suit. Glad that he is ready to go home and recuperate and they can enjoy their beautiful children. Rest up yourself- I know what it is to take care of the grandchildren. We had ours for 8 days and it took me a week to recuperate!

Bonnie I was so glad to see your post. I was worried about you. What a way to spend your birthday. You will have to celebrate at a later date when your son-in-law is home and everything is going well.

You and your family are in my prayers. Hugs coming your way!

What a time you have had. And what a mess! Glad he is ok tho. I thought it was Wes - I misread Ross' first post - Sorry, Ross. I am glad to hear that he is now on the mend. I'll bet the family is livid! Take care - and rest. This has been hard for all of you.

Thank Goodness!

Thank Goodness!

Hi Bonny, how scary it must've been while it was all happening. Happy to hear he's recovering well. Hope to see you on chat tomorrow.

Thank God for a happy ending..........

Thank God for a happy ending..........

WE were all so worried when we didn't get an update. A very bizarre tale, but I am so glad that there is a happy ending. And it is so good to "hear" your voice again. Let me know when you get good and rested and I will ship Katie to you so you can reminisce your days with the grandkids. She can destroy faster than I can pick up..........sigh! Many hugs and have a safe trip home. Janet

The Best Of Wishes for your Daughter and Son, Bonnie...

The Best Of Wishes for your Daughter and Son, Bonnie...

Heaven knows that you have been through a trying time this week as others have, but hopefully this means you will be able to take some recoup time for yourself and rest and do something nice for yourself? (Like staring at that wonderful bracelet your hubby got for your birthday-what a wonderful guy) Anyway, I am glad your son in law is home and hopefully feeling better! Take Care, Harrybaby666 :D :D :D

Hi Bon

SOOO glad to hear all is well......I thought it was your son's boy, too.....DUH!! Now it's time for you to rest....take the MH and go some place quiet so you can relax.

Be well and I'm glad everything is getting back on an even keel.

Evelyn
