First of all, let me say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been so kind and supportive on this wonderful site. Reading everyone's advice and personal stories have served as inspiration and motivation for me to get through surgery and recovery.

I go in to Brigham and Women's on Monday for three days of coumadin management, tests, and surgery preparation. Aortic aneurysm repair takes place Thursday morning.

Hopefully, it will be an uneventful experience.

As part of my coping with the events as of late, I will be documenting as much as I can of both of my surgeries/hospital stays for posterity's sake ( http://heartandkidney.blogspot.com/ )

Thank you again and please send me your positive thoughts next Thursday.

Evan

Evan, I didn't realize that you were going in so soon for surgery on Thursday! You are going to one of the best hospitals and I hope that you have as good an experience there as Dick did. I will start another thread as well to be sure we give you a big send-off. Will be watching your blog and praying for successful surgery and an uneventful recovery. Godspeed!

Good luck, Evan. All the best for a successful surgery and speedy, uneventful, recovery. Please give us an update from the other side of the mountain.

Best wishes, Evan! You're going to do fine because we're all praying for you :)

Evan,

We will all be with you cheering you on. All our best for an easy surgery and recovery.

Godspeed.

Best wishes Evan for a successful surgery and uneventful recovery.

Hi Evan

MamsRam is a member who lives very near you in NH.....he also had his surgery done at B and W......My girlfriend, Sandy, who lives in Hampstead had surgery there, also and recommends it highly.....You are in good hands. If you get a chance, look at the members list and contact mamsram....he's a great guy, please tell him I said hi.

Good luck.....I know all will be well.

Evan, I'm sorry your path is so full of obstacles right now, but I have faith you will be as good as new--minus a part or two:D --very soon. May you settle into a boring recovery period directly after Thursday's events.

All the very best to you.

Evan........My very best wishes for successful surgery and an uneventful recovery. We'll be eager to hear from you when you feel up to it.
Godspeed.

Good luck, Evan. I hope everything goes well for you - both pre-op and your surgery.

Brigham and Women's is an excellent place for it, always in the top five.

It will go faster than you think, and it won't be as bad as you imagine. Do well, and post us when you can.

You will be in my thoughts tomorrow.

Best wishes,
