Hello,
FYI. I recently found this clinical study that measures Lp(a). As some of you already know, Lp(a) is a critical test that measures a special type of cholesterol that runs in families and is associated with higher risk of heart attack. It also causes calcification and stenosis of valves. Normal blood screens do not test for Lp(a). I may have this issue which caused my valve problem but have not received results yet. I tested last week.
The good news is that you get paid $45.00 and get free tests that measure: Lp(a), Lipid Panel, hsCRP, A1c, and eGFR
The trial is sponsored by Eli Lilly and hopefully they are successful as currently there is no way to reduce high Lp(a).
The study is on-going throughout the US and may be available in your area. You need to input your zip code to check. If you use the link below, I receive a referral credit of $25.00. Any funds received from this will be donated to this site.
To those in Countries outside of the US, I suggest checking the Eli Lilly website under Clinical Trials.
