I've never had kale, but I've had collard greens as a young child. Those pictures bring back the most unpleasant memory! One thing I remember is that collard greens are hard to get completely clean and were gritty, as well as being extremely bitter. This might not be completely true, but that is my memory.
 
Thanks peoples :D . Silly me I forgot I could "google" for piccies, but then again you eaters of these vegies know exactly which ones you are talking about....

So the verdict is in...we dont have Collards here, but occaisionaly Kale can be found, usually for decorating not really promoted as an edible vegie...

Guess I shall continue eating big bunches of broccoli to fulfil my desire for greens.
