Have tried several times..Alice (the mother) must be staying at hospital..but since she still has a room at motel..Guess that's good news.
Wonder if we could find a # at Mayo..Cardiac Care floor. Any ideas? Bonnie

I called Mayo..her Private room # is 507-287-4089 .No answer..then I called the motel..Yea.. Alice, the Mother answered and we had a nice, long chat. Nicole had surgery yesterdayHope I got this right..they moved her pacemaker wires to outside of body...Had a pericardectomy..and repaired her valve. She is in a lot of pain..because Mom said she had been on pain meds for so long..She did take a short walk today..told her Mom to go home and Mom said, I ant going nowhere without you. Alice had just left her an hour ago and she told her..tell family not to call tonight. I told her (Alice) all about us and how concerned we had been. she knows us. (MOM) and said Thank you, all. Alice said, they said, Nicole would be there until Monday and she wants to fly home. I told Alice to keep her there a few more days..if problems should come up.. Her Mom was very alert and I told her, I know you are tired..but she sounded great...Know, it's because Nicole is doing so great. So, let's call this weekend. those of you who have unlimited calls on weekends (mobile) Bonnie

Great News. She is one I really worried about with all the troubles going in. I do hope Mom understands that these things do not follow schedules? In other words, she may be there longer then Monday.

I have been checking and checking this thread several times a day hoping to hear some news about Nicole's surgery. It is such good news to hear things have gone well. I will continue to keep Nicole and her family in my prayers. Nicole has been through so much. It's nice to hear that she is on her way to recovery.

I just talked to Alice (Nicole's) mom in Nicole's room. They are checking out of hospital today and flying home to N.C. at 5:30 a.m...in the a.m...I heard Nicole in background . Think she was busy ( like bathroom) but knew who Alice was talking too...I told Alice to tell her to post as soon as she got back to North Carolina. alice said, she was fine.. Bonnie
