I have just installed & configured satellite internet. The download speed is pretty quick. Unfortunately, I upload more stuff than most. I wanted totry uploading a picture to see what the spee would be like.

Bina recently mentioned she had not been to Banff. For my experiment, I thought I would post a picture from the last time I was in Banff a few years ago. We are going again in early July.

The experiment was a success, with a much quicker upload. I will be fighting the temptation to be posting too many pictures. There was a really big difference in upload time.

I know nothing about uploading or downloading but the picture is beautiful. If you feel the need to keep experimenting I for one would enjoy looking at more of your pictures ...Mary

Oooooh....satellite internet; my fantasy.
Up here the equipment runs around $500 and the monthly fee is $45.
I'm holding out for better prices! (but dial up is such a drag)

Banff....how incredible is that!
I think you should make a calendar with your fabulous pics.

I love trains, and I love Banff. This has always been a favorite of mine.

Bina: As I remember, Canada still has a first rate railroad. I think you can get on in Ontario and get off in Banff. How neat is that?

Yes, the canadian railroad is great, but it is expensive to travel in decent accomodations. I had a nice RR experience going to New Brunswick, my car had a glass observation dome and the bar car was not too far away....
