I was prescribed this at 10mg at bedtime by a pain clinic for my shoulder and arm.I am on Warfarin and hasn't had any effect. I find that I am pretty sleepy during the day when I take it but it does help with the pain in my shoulder gets bad.

Low-dose Elavil is also prescribed to relieve the pain of diabetic neuropathy. Elavil works by poteniating the neural synapse, and we have lots and lots of synapses in our body, so the action of the drug can have lots of different effects. It is an old medication and well-known, although some new indications have been developed over the years.

that's almost what I was trying to recall my bro and cousin having, but it's peripheral neuropathy. And she has Elavil for it; low dose. Bro never got relief from his.

as to my med being a disinfectant, the dentist told me it's also sort of an antibiotic but a bit different from the oral kind/pills.

I'm not on coum, but also was on a 10 mg dose at bedtime to a couple years for my back pain problems, prescribed by my pain doc.
