I don't know if you heard this, but a bronoco player Damien Nash, died yesterday. His brother had a heart transplant and Damien started a foundation. He just started it a mnth ago and had a charity basketball game yesterday to raise money for it and collapsed after the game.
It is just so sad he was 24 & he has a 7 month old baby. I can't imagine how his family must be feeling

Nash collapsed shortly after participating in the game benefiting a foundation named for older brother Darris Nash. The foundation raises money for heart transplant research. It was established last month, after Darris Nash received a heart transplant.

Very sad, tragic, and ironic. He was trying to do some good for heart research in honor of his brother, and himself fell victim (apparently) to a heart defect. Makes you think about how fragile life is.

Very sad. I wonder if he ever had his own heart screened. Al Lodwick once said that most athletes that drop dead while playing a sport, even tho many times the press reports it as a "heart attack" the real reason is undiagnosed valve issues.

Alot of them also have rythym problems

I have been watching this sad story most of the day hoping for an update on the cause. My guess would be heart issues based on his brother's history.

Maybe sports should start using echoes as part of their screening process. This seems to be happening a lot these days both in professional and school sports. A simple test might prevent a lot of these deaths.
