Sounds like a great idea...but my problem is not inactivity...I'm VERY active...I'm just also VERY hungry all the time...I'm not a couch potato...I ate it. But good luck with the new throwdown and I'll be watching to see who gets more active.

Jim

Ok Jim, keep an eye on us .... we miss you on the weight loss Throwdown, come on back!
Cooker, why not try incorporating more exercise into day to day activities. I have offered a few ideas below.
1/ When shopping, park the car furthest from the shopping centre entrance rather than driving around look for a space closest the door.
2/ Walk to the shops if practical rather than drive.
3/ When inside if it is multi story walk up and down the stairs rather than use the lift or escalator.
4/ Walk up and down the stairs at work when travelling between floors if only going between 2-3 floors.
5/ Look for opportunities to walk rather than drive.

These are the types of things I do even though I work out 5-6 days a week.

Good suggestions, thanks!
WHO HOOOO!!!! lets go for it!

Yep, I wanna buy a bicycle and also, walk more! What kind of exercise does a chimp get?

Colleen, when I exercise I like to walk ... I was being very faithful but for some reason just quit ... that's why I want to start this ... I need accountability:redface2:

PS: I think I will start this on Mondays ... so look to the Thowdown forum to post your activity!

I started with a three mile walk that takes me about an hour ... really splitting the wind, not ... I already feel better,

Sounds excellent to me!
Starting off at 3 miles an hour is a very good start.
Good luck with sticking with it daily!

I've been walking or jogging 3 miles a day for the last 34 years...
I use to jog but that is hard on joints. Brisk walking is the best overall exercise other than swimming.
