I don't know why I have been on such an eating tear.....but it happens. The car business is treacherous this time of year:eek: All the vendors that we do do business with bring cakes, cookies, subs.....you name it. The food is there at you finger tips 10 hours a day.....it's hard.. But I have determined in my heart to start anew tomorrow....I may be up on Friday but I WILL be down next week!!!!!! Losers unite!!!

Good grief, Cooker, I gained three pounds last week.
Like you said, it happens!

I'm down about a pound, but not three, so I let myself get dragged off to the fitness center tonight to try and get it off.
Since tomorrow is only Wednesday, try to pull yourself back on track.

BE the Little Engine Who Could . . . . you know, I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.

And hey Wise, I think you've got a case of diet envy!:p
Me and Jesus . . . . pretty funny!

:( I was doing so well... I had it all planned out yesterday. I bought the stuff to make low sodium black bean soup in the slow cooker. I soaked the beans overnight, then put all the ingredients together in the slow cooker this morning. I got home to the wonderful smell of black bean soup in the air... I was so excited I decided to have a little taste while I stirred.

The beans were still hard! So I thought maybe I needed to turn up the heat a bit. I did so and went about my business. Two hours later (dinner time), the beans were still crunchy. :( So I decided I'd wait until Nathan called to say he was on his way home from work so I could have him pick up something for us (that usually happens by about 8). Eight came and went with no phone call. Finally, at 8:45 I couldn't wait anymore. I had no cash, so I had to stop at an ATM and just went to the drive through that was closest. Weinersnitzel. First time I've ever eaten there. I tried to be as good as I could and got the chicken sandwich (turns out it's fried) with no fries. Sodium city!

I'm so sad that my beans didn't get cooked. I don't know what I could have done wrong. :( And after I'd gone back down to my 130 this morning too. :( :( :(

And after my grousing about forcing myself to go workout last night, I was down a pound today.
I think it's a conspiracy  . . . thin or pooped!:D :p
Cooker, glad to hear you're back on track . . . cho-cho!:p :p

SUPERBOB's Doublecheeseburger Diet Delight!

SUPERBOB's Doublecheeseburger Diet Delight!

SUPERBOB is back from the Emerald City. There is no Wizard but there is a SUPERBOB and here is his recipe for a diet lunch when eating fast food en route (specifically at Burger King):

Ingredients:

One BK double cheeseburger
One BK side salad
One BK low-fat milk (1 percent)
One BK low-fat salad dressing

Instructions:

Remove the cheese-covered burgers and throw the buns away.
Dice the burgers with your plastic knife.
Sprinkle the diced burgers over the salad.
Lightly garnish with 1/3 of the container of salad dressing.

Voila! A light fast-food lunch that's yummy.

The side salad has lots of lettuce, something that faintly resembles a tomato, and two baby carrots. Granted, they could have been more generous with the carrots but the salad was only $1.

The 1 percent milk had just 110 calories.
The salad dressing was about the same but I used only 1/3 of the pack.
The veggies are minimal, and how many cals could be in those thin burgers?

SUPERBOB declares this a viable alternative to chowing down on a double Whopper with cheese and large fries and large soda.

Remember, SUPERBOB loves you and is with you always! :) :) :)

Welcome back SB.....as you can tell by the post this has been a perilous week. The recipe sounds good but also far out of reach of my will power.

Maybe some day I will I will have your self control..................nah:rolleyes:

Ack! School Moms can be evil! Of course, it's my fault for walking into the cafeteria when I knew there was a holiday party going on... Let's see, I had an eggroll, chicken enchilada, mole, rice, and something I can't remember the name of (it was from Bangladesh?). Can I help it if the moms kept pushing the food on me. I said no several times. Honest! And this was all AFTER I'd already had lunch. At least I didn't come home and have a snack this afternoon. I'm still not hungry. I've got that black bean soup (that's been cooking for two days now) for dinner, but I may not eat a lot of it. I will try to use more willpower and not peek in on First Grade's party tomorrow. :eyeroll:

Ah but Bon: It's not all about calories. You didn't get the nutrients of the veggies and low-fat milk. :) (Man (nor dog) can live by cheeseburger alone. :D
