Gina...member or not....you are always wecome..........I am afraid that I am able to consume calories much faster that the seasonal excitement can burn them:) :)

Well, I didn't do too badly at dinner. I managed to only eat a few chips and salsa (couldn't resist entirely!), but that's a huge feat for me, since I usually eat a couple of cups of salsa on my own! And I only ate two fajitas. I'm still a bit swollen, simply because anything you eat at a restaurant is like licking a salt block, but at least I didn't pig out entirely. :D

Nikki, we know about Mexican food, being that we adore it with every taste bud we possess. Therefore, we know that you demonstrated miraculous restraint and superior judgment in your choices. That's akin to going to a candy factory and only eating a couple chocolate covered peanuts. Good for you!

I want to congratulate all involved in the Throw Down!!!!:) Everyone is showing signs of positive changes in eating and exercise habits!!!:) The fact that we are maintaining or losing during the holiday season is nothing less than miraculous!!!:D :D :D Keep up the good work!!!:)

Possible irregularity! :p The REF seems to be saying she can be bribed by The Chimp with Christmas confections.

Say it ain't so, Mary! :p ;)

Rest easy, SuperBob.;)

I'm just daydreaming about the tantalizing treats that the Chimp might be able to procure . . . . but in the real world, it would take more than Christmas delights to bribe me.

Darn!:p

SPECIAL REPORT.......Deit Explosion In South Carolina:eek:

The Co-founder of the VR.com Throw Down was the only one caught in the diet explosion which occurred in South Carolina today. Cooker, after navigating the club part on Friday was able to get back on track Saturday. The first wave of the Sunday explosion began at church with the full assault of a Hardee's Bacon, Egg and Cheese Biscuit followed by 2 KrispyKreme donuts. Still standing the co-founder tried to recover but was caught in the second blast of a Double Cheeseburger, Fries, Cole Slaw and a Soft Serve Cone.

A full recovery is expected. He was quoted as saying "Spit Happens"

ChimpBoy is almost blown to smithereens in the diet blast and all you think about is watching for banned substances!!!!!!! Thanks for the sympathy:p :p
I feel for you, chimp! Sodium keeps exploding all over me. ;) What's a loser supposed to do? Duck??? ;)

Which, BTW, I'm going out with friends YET AGAIN, which means more restaurant food and more sodium. :( But I'm planning to ask for a to go box right away so I'll only eat half! :D

One strategy that I have when going out to eat is to decide what I'm having BEFORE I arrive. With many restaurants having their menus on the Internet, this is a pretty easy thing to do... Well tonight we are going to P.F. Chang's China Bistro with our friends. I decided I would go look at the menu before I start getting too hungry so that I can make a wise decision... Their online menu is GREAT if you're trying to figure out the lightest fare... If you click on "more info" to the right of a dish it gives you most of the nutritional info (no sodium content, alas). It's amazing how many calories are packed into these meals! Granted, they are huge portions, but they could easily cut back on that and people still wouldn't leave hungry... At any rate, as I clicked on "more info" for just about every item on the menu, I believe I've located an item with less than 700 calories (not easy to do) that when split in half (for leftovers) shouldn't be too bad. I don't want to know how much sodium is in it, though... Asian is always over the top in that department!

Cooker..my Hubby can eat that fast food, too..when we leave early for a trip..same type fast-food..and I cannot believe he wants another double cheeseburger...3 hours later.. .and yet..when we return home..He wants a full dinner.Meat/potatoes/Veggies..and never gain.. Plus.after dinner with coffee. always something sweet. ..All I can do is eat..1/2 of biscuit..skip the fast food lunch. And nibble on our dinner..to maintain my 9 lb. loss.:) ...Granted. he works outside..most everyday..heavy-duty type yardwork..maintaining cars, house, ect...guess he works it off?...I have deleted all salt from my cooking..In fact, did a pot roast with No seasoning tonight..he just said, it was so good.(didn't miss the salt).so I am thinking why my ring fingers are getting so loose (rings)..ankles, too.Salt must have been a culprit for me. ...Thankfully..we don't have the fast-food Chinanese, Mexicane food in the Mountain of North Ga.:D Bonnie
