Down 3.5 from last week ... the secret weapon has me back in the black ... I predict a runaway contest with the men leading the pack ... with Laurie at goal weight she is for all practical purposes a lame duck ... with several men in the weight range for possible big losses I think this thing is in the bag ... Yo-Yo queen = no threat ... Janie who I met two years ago does not have enough to lose to be a contender .... yep, I think the guys need to decide what we want for our prize:biggrin2:

Starting Weight: 233
Last Week: 202
This Week: 198.5

Great Pumpkin Race
Starting Weight: 200
Last Week: 202
This Week: 198.5

Don't go counting your chickens before they are hatched Mr. Chimpman!! I told you before - never underestimate the power of determined women. I've got to add it all up - but it is looking pretty darn good for everybody this week and especially the girls!

I'm down 1.6 this week - hard to believe with the holiday weekend, but I worked really hard at it the rest of the week.

This Week: 195.6
Last Week : 197.2
Loss: 1.6

Yippeee!! I might have to do a quick draft of the spreadsheet just to see. Let's Go Girls! We can beat them if we just keep on keeping on - slow and steady wins the race. I know the Chimp well enough now to suspect that h'ell put that 3.5 back on in no time.

OK - I couldn't wait to see the totals - this is just a DRAFT as Geckley still has time to post his weight up until Mon. - but unless he loses big ,the girls have it sewn up this week! 7.3 to to 6.1 In fact every one of the girls lost this week!! Way to go girlfriends! Hee Hee!:biggrin2:View attachment 8700

OK in the spirit of good sportswomanship - hats off to SB for his staying power and Cooker too - even if he did cheat with some magical chimp potion of his!

Maybe just as we had pop tests in school (at least I did back in the dark ages), we should have pop weigh-ins on the weekends. Wonder what Duffey's weekly loss would look like after Friday and Saturday dining. :p;)

Keep it up, and I'll kick your spreadsheet after I kick Cooker's. :biggrin2: No, wait, I'd probably be too tired from the amount of kicking. :rolleyes2::wink2:

Actually, Smartboys (is that a contradiction in terms?), I've had two pieces of toast, 3.2 oz of tuna, and a 100 calorie peach yogurt today. Dinner tonight is baked turkey ham and baked potatoes.

You know the mantra . . . . Will try harder . . . Must beat the boys!

Oops, guess I'm not showing very good sportswomanship.:redface2: I will try to do better.:biggrin2::biggrin2:

Rhena, congratulations on the loss! :smile2: Girls Rock! :smile2: We need Jan to weigh in, and we'll be doing good.:smile2:

And the heat is on..

And the heat is on..

Woohoo girlies..:biggrin2: Hey there Jan and Colleen.....where are you girlies?!?!

I gotta admit that Superbob with the big 3LB loss is leadin' the pack this week or is it the Chimpster with 3.5LBS? But, never fear the girlies will be back next week with a couple of big losses..

Y'all gotta do it for me since we'll be in the land of fall foliage, festivals and fruit pies..:eek2:so, I'll miss weigh-in next Friday, but I'll be back the following week with a vengeance..:biggrin2:

Well, guys, the race is still young -- seven weeks to go, but it looks like these damsels are determined to kick our butts.

We have made up a little ground on them since Week One but they are showing a lot of spunk, bless their pea-pickin' hearts. We must persevere. Make a plan to burn off those extra calories consumed during all that good college and NFL football this weekend. Superbob is confident that the guys will prevail. :D

And thank you Rhena for presenting the Pumpkin Race on those spreadsheets. That's adding to the fun while letting us boys know what we have to do to win this thing and collect our reward. ;)

After a victory feast (USC Gamecocks 17, Georgia Bulldogs 6) ... TheChimp is back with his secret plan ... lets kick some butt guys:thumbup:

After my Volunteers' second-half collapse against Oregon, betcha you Gamecocks are savoring the prospect of feasting on the Vols later this season in the game at Columbia. Oh well, maybe the weight gain will go to you, not poor Superbob (whose teams are being feasted on a lot these days -- now my Redskins face the Cowboys in the opener tonight. If the Skins could somehow win that one, Superbob would have a superfeast and all the gals here could be happy SB once again was gaining weight.):rolleyes:

Oh no, the Vols are always a force to be reckoned with ... don't know what happened but I don't ever bet the Gamecock / Volunteer match up ... anything can happen and usually done ... GO SKINS:thumbup:

The Redskins beat the Dallas Cowboys tonight -- all is well with the world! I have renewed confidence that the guys can bet the gals in the Pumpkin Race.

My fantasy is that the Redskins go to the Super Bowl this year -- and win it in the Cowboys' stadium! Ah yes, that would be about as sweet as the pumpkin pie I'm starting to taste! :D

Well, that's a fairly modest prize, Bob. Maybe someone will get it for you for Christmas after you lose the great pumpkin race.

You'd be welcome to having the Redskins in Jerry's new stadium. I've loathed that man since he fired Tom Landry. The Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders need to update their wardrobes. They're stuck in the 60s, and look like the original SW airlines stewardesses in hot pants and go-go boots.

I was soooooo busy yesterday getting ready for the new baby that's coming I forgot to post. So late as it is Yesterday I was 239 wich is a loss of 0 zilch nadda. sorry fellas.

LOL - I love that comeback Laurie! It appears that Geckley is missing in action this week - so I'm posting the official GPR spreadsheet. We officially did it girls! Yeeehaaaw!! :biggrin2::biggrin2::biggrin2::angel:

Let's keep it going girls! I'm going to be at somewhat of a disadvantage, because I have no kitchen starting tomorrow! I have it all packed up and ready for the remodelers, so I've got a make-shift kitchen in a back bedroom - but it is a long walk to the fridge in the garage . That just means I'll burn more calories going back and forth.

So Geckly and I must have cross-posted or something. I see now that he has checked in - but it didn't change the outcome! Woo Hoo! We got them on the run girls. How fortuitous of us to choose football season for this race - seems the guys might have a problem with willpower whilst watching their favorite teams. OK - so I had a subway sandwich watching the Longhorns play, but no mayo or cheese and baked chips and diet coke. It's all good!
